The Standard of Freedom located on New Lane is a pub that people visit from miles around and a particular favourite with tourists who can experience the best traditional English pub at The Standard.

We have a fantastic range of draught lagers, bitters and ciders. We are especially proud of our range of cask ales and have a reputation of serving great tasting beer!

The Standard of Freedom has a great beer garden with stunning views over Halifax. Dogs are more than welcome and ramblers are often found to be relaxing with a cold pint of cask ale taking a break from walks in the beautiful surrounding areas. We welcome families but politely ask that children do not come into the pub after 8pm.

We have a varied range of weekly events upcoming at the Standard of Freedom including darts, dominoes and a quiz night.
